good morning ladies-

I will be starting radiation tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone has any tips, hints, tricks as to dealing with the rads.

Thanks in advance!

Hey stinkerbelle, I finished 28 rads and 5 boosts three weeks ago. My skin is looking pretty good. I'm a little tanned, and the new skin is growing back quickly. The peeling has stopped. I used 100% clear Aloe Gel, and hydro cortisone cream for the itch at the end. And I did not wear a bra, and still don't yet. But wear old soft tee shirts over it, some of the potions will make grease stains on your clothing and sheets. And I use a memory foam neck pillow to sleep. It a great shape to slide under the arm and protect the armpit. Everyone is different, but let the nurses know if you need anything. At the end I had a stretchy tube top from the RO to keep the pads and Aquaphor in place. I added straps to make it into a cami, and keep it from moving. It worked great! It kept it from rolling up. Good Luck! Cheryl
