I know there are some women in Arkansas that have breast cancer. Let's talk. I wish this website was given out by doctor's office because when you find out you need someone to talk to that truly understands. I found this website by accident.

Hello, I see that these posts are pretty old. But, I'm looking for those in the Northwest Arkansas area. I am in Bentonville. I just got back home from MD Anderson, and they told me

it is not likely to be anything other then breast cancer. I am expecting the phone call tomorrow. I spent two days there just being shuffled off for all sorts of tests (biopsies, bone scans, ct scans, bloodwork). I'm terrified. Just when I get myself positive, something brings me back down. I have two kids (9 & 5) and a great husband. I worry about them so much.

    Hope to hear from someone.

azrescue....I'm just up the road a couple miles. I hope you got good news from the phone call. Breast cancer is enough to deal with. I am almost 7 years out from diagnosis, yet it all feels like yesterday. I got wonderful care from Highlands Oncology. Did they send you to MD Anderson? Hopefully you have a clearer picture of what you are dealing with. If I can help in any way or you just want to meet and talk just let me know. I know it is very overwhelming. Hugs!

@jacee .. I just saw your answer here. We decided to do my treatment with KUMed. I just had treatment #5 of 6. I'm scheduled for a double mastectomy in July. I have a ton of emotions as i near the chemo finish line but gear up for surgery. I haven't met many here in AR. Seems like there isn't much for support groups here. I'm trying to stay positive & enjoy life and my family.

Hello, I'm not sure if this thread is still looked at anymore, but I am a fellow Arkansan.  It has been a while since I have been on the site but I decided to drop in tonight.  Hope all from The Natural State are doing well.
