So if anyone reads this...maybe you can ease my mind for the night. I have been feeling very positive about my biopsy lately. Until now my nerves havent been an issue at all. Our house was on the market and listing expired so we've been getting a million phonecalls about it. I decided I probably wouldnt get results today (BS asked how I wanted to receive results and I told her phone). So I went out and of course when I got home at 7 I heard a voicemail from the woman who scheduled my biopsy after meeting with bs. She said to call back before 5 or after 9 a.m. To calm my nerves a bit now...is it usually only the doctor who calls ifs bad info? Im not sure what this womans role is but now that I know they have them and I cant find out out, I have butterflies in my stomach and dont want to feel like this til tomorrow. I was fine not thinking they had them (it was done on Thursday). So ultimately that is my question...is is a requirement for the doctor to call with bad info and maybe thats why this one is? Because it wasnt "important" enough for the bs to be bothered with it?

The radiologist who performed my biopsy and read my biopsy pathology report is the one who called me. I'm sure it varies from place to place. Good luck with your results. I hope they're benign.

Karen, Welcome to BCO. It can be nerve wracking waiting for results. My BS gave me my results over the phone. Sending best wishes to you for a B9 result. Please keep us posted. Gentle hugs!!

The doctor that did the biopsy called me himself and gave me the news that I had DCIS. I know every office works differently but I would hope the doctor would call you if BC.

A "breast cancer coordinator" called me with the news. She had all the important details like size, hormone and Her status, and grade. She then set me up for an afternoon of appointments with a surgeon, plastic surgeon, oncologist, and geneticist. Good luck with your results. I know the waiting is hard.
