Recent ADH Dx

I had surgery and received a final path report this week. Surgeon want me to see a specific Oncologist. That will be a four week wait. Is this a reasonable wait time for next steps? Anyone been here? Thanks

    I agree. When I was diagnosed with LCIS and after I got it excised to make sure there wasn't something worse, it was more like 4-5 months before I got an oncology appointment.

    I know that it probably feels like forever, but it is OK to wait 4 weeks with a diagnosis of ADH. Depending on your family history and other risk factors, they may recommend taking tamoxifen as a preventative med to help lower your risk of invasive bc in the future. ( I have LCIS, (a step further along the bc spectrum with double the risk of ADH), and family history of ILC, so I took tamoxifen for 5 years and now I have been taking evista for over 5 years, and I continue high risk surveillance of alternating mammos and MRIs every 6 months.     anne and all thanks for your replies . Vim really wondering about Evista. So worried about any of these drugs because , as my good luck would have it , I'm also a type 1 Diabetic on insulin 24./7. This now I really don't need in consort with recent Diabetes dx. These meds are not going to be possible for me I believ
