I wish there were more positive articles on how people handle menopause instead of making fun of it. I get embarrassed when people talk about it because of how its so negatively talked about in the media.

Its part of my life now, I need to deal with this like a real person not a 25 min sitcom on tv.

    It sucks!!

Of course it's a part of life, IF you make it to a certain point. I love the article and the author's zest for life. I suspect that it's more "your life, your way" in her case. She did leave out the part about being able to wear white jeans with no worries.

I found it freeing and made a series of overdue changes in my life.

On the other side, and on the other side of a breast cancer diagnosis, there is not one thing (other than bear children, which I didn't do) that I can't do now that I did back in the day. In fact, I do more of them and make a point of having adventures.

I actually find the jokes just tiresome.

Because in the end, I believe that we should celebrate all seasons of life and make the most of them! Such as the friend I spoke to yesterday who (in her 70s) is off to CA this week for her monthly "visit" with the man in her life! - Claire
