Waiting on Biopsy...On Pins and Needles!
Good Morning,
I am hoping for some support as I went in on the 23rd for a Fine Needle Biopsy ( US Guided) on 2 areas..the US report stated 0.4 x 0.4 x 0.5 com oviod hypoechoic mass that demonstrates internal color flow. It was in two areas of my breast. Not sure what that all means?
It stated on the report it was "low suspicion for malignancy"..but that scares me.
I called the BS office just now and they have not received it yet.
So scared and anxious. I go every year for my Diagnostic Mammogram and US as I have dense breasts and 5 years ago they found a group of microcalcifications, that turned on b9.
So, here I am again and having trouble focusing and waiting.
Thank you for reading~

Hello Susan0528:
I'm also waiting for biopsy results. I had a core needle biopsy(US) on 3/23/2015. I found a lump during self exam 2 weeks ago. On the 16th I was given a diagnostic mammogram, a screening mammogram, and an ultrasound exam. The birads score is a 4. During the biopsy I asked the Radiologist her opinion as she was not the Radiologist who I met during the diagnostic appointment. She responded that the area is "definitely funky". But I should wait for the results.
Like you, I'm on pins and needles. I'm prepared for a cancer diagnosis. I know I've not provided information to help you. However I want you to know you're not alone.
Wishing you blessings.
3/30...I received my diagnosis on 3/26. ILC, Grade 2. Still waiting on hormone receptors and HER2. I've met with a surgeon and will have an MRI on Wednesday. I have an appointment with an oncologist next week. Hopefully I'll know the treatment plan soon. On top of this, my husband just completed 6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation. His surgery is on 4/16.

March has been sadness and madness for me too. I feel for everyone here as we cope with this. It's been a whirlwind of tests, biopsies and waiting. It's all happened like speeding train. Surgical Biopsy yesterday after Mammograms and Sterotactic revealed Microcalcifications and then ADH. I should know On Friday more definitive dx. Now just sore from surgery. I also have type 1 adult onset Diabetes which frankly is making this even more difficult. I don't really know what I am waiting for. It's all bad

Thank you ladies for taking the time to reply and I am so very sorry you are having to go through this too. The waiting is just awful...try very hard to be normal and it's like holding your breath. Seems kind of cruel to be honest..isn't there a better way to go through this? Sigh...
Cyber ((hugs)) your way~

My heart goes out to all of you....I am waiting for date for surgical biopsy so, I understand the pins and needles. Just want it all over. The normal thing is not working for me...my kids know something is going on but don't want them to know how worried I am and they see right through me. Keeping you all in my thoughts and good wishes

I am so sorry you are going through this too. I hear about trying to be "normal". I had a good cry tonight. I heard a saying a long time that makes me think of this.."fake it til you make it"..hmm.
I am hoping all goes well for you too..stay strong and remember to breathe. ( I keep forgetting to)

Well, I'm so happy to report that my BIRADS 4 core needle biopsy on March 24 came back benign. I was a mess going in the surgeon's today and when I started crying from relief and stress, they were all so nice.... I know we aren't all the same, but maybe someone will relax a bit if they can hear it's not always bad news. I had a bloody nipple discharge 6 years ago, they removed the papilloma and so I had talked myself into then worst senario. Prayers for you all, for a peace within and benign results

I got through to the BS office tonight and it was B9! Thank you to everyone to who responded to me..I don't believe anyone can understand unless they have been there like all you ladies.
Eagle, I am so happy for you also!
