Agree on the spam, and that really makes me angry, preying on vulnerable people like that. She posted it in one of the stage 3 forums as well.

Neoadjutant therapy will shrink your tumor some and may make lumpectomy easier and safer. I know you aren't ready as yet to think about chemo or Herceptin but just wanted to say, that is one of the reasons it is offered.

Surgery is scheduled for Apr 27. I've just about resigned myself to the fact that I'm going to have to go with the full boat of treatments, but now I'm in the negotiation phase (with myself, my husband, my surgeon and my as-yet-unnamed MO).

Gotta find out which drugs will have the fewest SEs and the most benefits, and try to figure out how, in the time I have to prepare, to prevent, minimize or best deal with the SEs. Preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best.

I've told the surgeon if they can't find any sentinels, no ALND.

I've got a post-surgery appointment scheduled with a new MO, we'll see if she's any better than the last lady. If not, I've got two more names, these recommended by the surgeon himself.

The hardest part right now is that life is (at least on the surface) 100% completely normal. I feel fine, I'm still whole, nothing has really changed. But I could be walking around right now with stage IV cancer and not even know it.

And from April 27 and beyond, EVERYTHING takes a huge left turn.
