Allergan style 20 for exchange
anyone out there who is tall thin athletic going with or already have Allergan 20s? My ps said I could have gummies or rounds but he would recommend rounds for me. He thinks I'd feel the harder gummies but I am worried about rippling with the rounds. I am 5'9" and 140 lbs. anyone with thoughts or advice would be great! I was a 34d cup before so want to be around there at the end. Whippetmom suggested this style and cc of 500.

I'm not tall, thin, or athletic LOL but I do have 550cc Allergan Style 20 implants. I'm very happy with them. They do feel firmer than I was expecting but they are supposedly softer than the gummy bears. I did have some rippling and had a round of fat grafting in January. That seemed to fix it.

I have Allergan 20's. High Profile rounds. I'm about 5'7'' 135 lbs. I love them. I work out 4-5 days a week including some running and push ups. I've had no problems. There is rippling when I contract the muscle or bend over but not when I'm relaxed. They look great in a bra and are nice and soft. Hope this helps!

I am not tall (5'4") but I am thin (was 112 lbs when weighed at hospital last week) and athletic (I work out daily and I run, spin, kayak, do yoga, barre, hike, scuba dive, weight training, etc). My first implants were Allergan Natrelle Inspiras, in high profile which are similar to the 20s (but I am in Canada). They felt good, but I did have lots of rippling on one side as well as a weird dent that bothered me. This was present even when standing straight on that one side (the other side would only really ripple if I leaned over) They did look great in a bra or in clothing though. Naked...they looked pretty good but my perspective has changed a bit with my new ones. I switched to the Allergan 410s last week (gummies) in mod height/mod projection and am much happier with their shape - especially naked - and it really reduced the rippling from what I can tell. They suit me much better and as my husband said, they look much more natural. Time will tell if they solve the rippling altogether, I am being realistic as I do have thin skin, but so far things look good.
They really don't feel noticeably firmer than my rounds were...maybe a bit. But not like in a huge way and for some reason I actually like touching these ones more, ha. I have also heard from others, including my PS, that the gummies really do soften up a lot more over 6-12 months.
I have a 29" ribcage and my pre-surgery size was a 30E. Which would be a distant sister size to a 34D, so similar volume in cup that you wear now. After the rounds I was still a 30E (ribcage 29", bust 35"). I don't know what my size will be, but as these implants are slightly wider I suspect I might need to bump to a 30F. My rounds were 435cc, and my gummies are 450g

thanks for the input juliecc dive cat and kamm,, Jeez with all of this exercise how did we each end up here anyway??? I always thought my lifestyle would keep me out of trouble but apparently not! Now trying to keep it all going with what I've got to deal with. Seems like the Allergan 20 could work for me. Going to ps on Tuesday for possibly last fill and have a long list of questions for him. Hope to find out what exactly he recommends and tofeel the Allergan 20s.
Kamm -you mentioned doing push-ups! I thought I'd have to give those up with how these expanders feel while lifting. I've modified my workout and given up a few moves that had my expanders moving toward my neck!! Wondering if lifting with implants doesn't feel as weird as they are softer than expanders ... This gives me hope!

The first thing I will say is that everybody's experience with lifting and push ups is different. There are some women who have pain with the implants when doing them. Some plastic surgeons will tell you not to do them at all and some will say within moderation. There is no question that the action causes the chest muscle to contract down on the implant and potentially can shift the implant to the outside which in time may shift the pocket. I did them freely with my expanders, with the blessing of my PS, knowing that they weren't going anywhere but it did take some getting used to the sensation. After the exchange, I didn't do any push ups or chest presses for a couple of months to make sure that everything healed solidly. When I went back to doing them I had to work my way up because I found that the scar tissue from the Alloderm would pull a little a was uncomfortable. I just worked at it slowly. A few here, a few there. Kept increasing the depth and amount until I got a result with my body I could live with. By far, not doing as many as I used to because I don't want to push my luck. What I have modified are my chest presses. And I don't do flys at all. They seemed to cause me more discomfort and to be honest there really is no reason to do them anymore. It's not like I need to build that muscle. The push ups I want to do because they work so many other muscles. I also find that tricep push ups are easier than regular . Doesn't contract the muscle quite as much. Other than that, I still lift all of my old weights. No problems. It really is just a new normal but I have come to actually like the implants. You just have to be patient and accept the changes and work with them. Hope this helps!

I have allergen rounds style 20. I am 5’8 and 137 pounds. I run or walk daily, bike, swim, and generally am fit. I am a firefighter/paramedic.
I do have some rippling, but no issues to speak of. One side has gotten a little red lately, so I am getting that looked at, but I have pretty sensitive skin which was svortch badly in radiation, so Ibthink that is the culprit. I am happy with my reconstruction
