Abramycin

I'll begin abramycin after five meds not working. All blood numbers are at bottom. Someone tell me how they did on this medicine. I have been on arimadex, arosamin, faslodex, Xeloda,taxol. My breast cancer in the bones only has aggressively taken over 50% of my liver.

Sending you much gooooood energy your way....and wish you will suffer lesser pain....wish I could help...however, suggest if you can to google and read up everything you can on abramycin too? The more you know, the less fearful you'll be...I am a cancer patient too....some nights I cry but most of the time, I read up as much as I can, including other people's experiences in similar situations as I, as well as Clinical Trials at the clinicaltrials.gov website to see what treatment out there have been proven successful.

Our MD sometimes do not have enough time to keep up with new or alternative treatments. Many prefer to use standard treatments. So it's up to us to be proactive and find alternative treatments, and bring it to their attention (I print them out). I don't print claims, I print facts, This makes it easier to insist on the treatment plan I would like to have.

And, whenever you feel depress, go to youtube and watch "Just for Laughs", Ben & Jerry these that makes you laugh. We need laughter to make us feel better. And it works....listen to your favorite music etc...LETS BE A SURVIVOR...so we can enjoy life more, OK? YOU ARE NOT ALONE mimi1rebel @!@  Nat from Singapore.

Try searching the boards for adriamycin. I think maybe you misheard the name of the drug

Hi Mimi, go to www.chemocare.com, they have all of the chemo info there. Just search by drug. If you want the uncommon side effects you can get those on the manufacturers site. I had Adriamycin dense dose X 4 and I had a great response to shrink the tumor. However I also have the permanent heart damage, a uncommon side effect. I still had a mastectomy due to the size of the tumor. But I cannot take Taxol again because the tumor regrew quickly after the Adriamycin. So I am not so sure what my choices are going to be for the next chemo.
