I am a military retiree with onset of DCIS and then breast carcinoma only stage I thank God, 16 years post-retirement after a 26 year Navy career. I have read that there is a higher incidence of breast cancer among military women as compared to civilian populations. (Google this). Also true for men. Exposure to toxic chemicals in war zones followed by cancer is already considered a disabling condition by the military. Also those exposed to hazardous chemicals in Camp Lejeune are covered for claims. Those are not related to my inquiry.

However I wonder if there are any former military who subsequently developed breast cancer of any kind/any stage who would be interested in exploring with me a possible class action related to asbestos exposure while in service. I have no other family hx or predisposing conditions aside from being postmenopausal but did serve about 15 years working in WWII era buildings full of asbestos, some shipboard duty (full of asbestos as fireproofing) and there are some studies suggesting a relationship between asbestos exposure and breast cancer (again, google).

Perhaps this is not the right forum for this inquiry, and if not I'd appreciate a redirect or any thoughts.

Thanks in advance,
