nipples after nipple-sparing MX

I'm currently doing chemo and then in August will be having skin-sparing/nipple-sparing BMX. The BS and PS both told me that my nipples will likely not have sensation and I'm totally ok with that. My question is about nipple 'reactivity' if that's the right word? Do your nipples still get hard in the cold or as a result of stimulation? Or are they just there and flat (flatish) all the time? I don't really care either way, I'm just curious what the general outcome is and I totally forgot to ask the PS when I saw him. But I don't want to wait until my pre-op in July to get this answer

Mine are pretty flat, have become more pale, do not react to cold, and I can't feel them.

I had nipple sparing on the non-cancer side and the nipple does stand out sometimes.

My nipples are constantly perky. My right side is a bit more perky than the left. I do have some sensation on the left but none on the right. My plastic surgeon said most women's nipples flatten out after a while. I seem to be losing a some color as well.

It's been almost a year since my nipple-sparing mastectomy. Initially only one of them would react to cold but now they both do. I don't have any feeling in either one.
