Tumor Marker blood tests

I was wondering if anyone is getting these blood tests, CA 27.29 and CEA.  I see an oncologist every 6 months.

Not for LCIS. I get CEA on my ovarian cancer followups because the were concerned I might have abdominal mets. Weren't they talking about a PET for you earlier? I've never heard of any of that being done for LCIS

I was only diagnosed with LCIS.  These are the blood tests I get.  I have never had a PET scan.  Do they do that for LCIS?

No. I thought it was you who asked a while back about a PET scan but there would be no reason to do one unless you were diagnosed with invasive cancer. I don't get tumor markers drawn for LCIS.

my MO does these tests, but I have IDC. I just had them done this past week

oncologists are all different. Mine did blood work for tumor markers yearly for 5 years. I only have LCIS, but I also have family history of ILC (mom), so maybe that is why he watched me so closely.

I had ILC and my onc hasn't done any tests of any sort...which worries me. I have an extensive family history. Why wouldn't he test me ??

yes, I am waiting on those test results as well as others. I was just diagnosed with DCIS as well as LCIS.
