KSusan- ah yes- there were both African and European Swallows in that discussion. Only the African Swallow had the wing span and air speed velocity to carry a coconut...

Good news is gabapentin eases the neuropathy pain. Bad news is that it turns me into drowsy, drooling zombi who sleeps all day and shuffle walks. Maybe I can be decoration at my son's halloween piano/voice recital. He's playing Thriller. I make the perfect crypt zombi. Would post pic of my hair, but it wouldn't show up.
-
Aughhhhhh...brrraaaaaiiiinnnssssss.....
-
believe it or not time
When I was first prescribed gabapentin I got arrested for a dui. True story.
The DA decided not to press charges. I was pretty pissed off. I didn't realize how my motor skills were affected. I was thinking ok. Anyway, I eventually got used to the drug and no longer had the symptoms (slurring my words, falling asleep in my cereal, and more) but my liver enzymes went whackadoodle for a year. Finally we eliminated my meds one at a time. When I dropped the gabapentin, the enzymes dropped into perfect harmony. Even through chemo. It's one powerful drug alright. Not on my menu for good.

Zombie is a good costume for chemo braaaiiinnns.

Hi All,
Just checking in to say "hello" and see how you all are making out. It seems that some of you are onto the "RADS" stage of the process. I had underwent RADS my 1st time around in 2011. Unfortunately, I had extremely "sensitive" skin and burned pretty badly. Good news-it heals relatively quickly once your last treatment is complete. One little tip- the fatigue you may be experiencing does take some time to diminish (sorry to be the barer of bad news but I just wanted to let you know). I continue to heal and get stronger. I'm thrilled to be back to work and my co-workers have been so very caring and positive! Even the students have been so very sweet!! I decided to be a "big girl" and stop worrying so much about my hair (or lack thereof) and started the school year wig free. My co-workers call my new look "trendy and sassy" (how funny is that considering that I'm turning 50 this year). My son is off at college-I got through that transition with very bittersweet feelings but I'm so happy that he has acclimated so nicely. In late August, I had my "final" surgery to remove the expanders and insert the permanent implants. Now, I'm still trying to shake the Staph infection that I developed three weeks ago (ugh!! never a dull moment!). Overall though, life Is Good! My friends and I will be participating in the Susan G. Komen Walk for a Cure in Jackson, NJ this coming Sunday (as I have for the last 7 yrs.)-our team's name is=Fran's Fine Friends.
Best wishes and positive prayers to all of you. Keep hanging tough ladies!
Fran

Yay Fran! Great that you are doing so well. I bet you look super sassy with short hair!!!!
Ksusan. You now owe me a keyboard, because I just snorted kombucha all over mine. You sexy thang, you!
-
Oo-aahhh. Prosthesis by The Party Store. Actually more comfortable than what Nordstrom had to offer me.
-
Ksusan, you never fail to make me smile!
Fran, Glad things are going well. Hope the infection clears.
Dizz park, that sounds like a powerful drug!
Renee, I think you should attend the testcle festival this year and report back to us.
-
Frau Doktor- you are a vision. Good thing I was on my iPad or you'd owe me a keyboard too!
Gaugin has nothing on you. Your radiance penetrates the Internet, the Ethernet, and I'm sure a few fishnets in your time. That is, before you were married. Not that you still don't turn heads.
-
ksusan, wow, looks better than my boobs do. I may have to get me that bra!
Is there anything you won't do? You gotta learn to twerk wearing that outfit. Just bend your knees, hands above the knees and shake the booty! Shoulders rolled forward. While singing K. C. And the Sunshines Band's I'm your boogey man.... Ok, gotta go try that now rofl!
You need to come to our March chemo reunion, I probably won't have to exercise because my abdominal and face muscles are gonna be so sore from laughing! You are a joy
-
Ok Italy. Be real. Can you actually twerk???? ?!!!!!!
-
let me drink some Jack Daniels. I can do anything after I drink that stuff. Then Icould probably do it for about three seconds.
I do have the butt for it, though. Gotta love the bike, builds the butt!
-
You are my hero! I tried once...not pretty.
-
and as was said by Jen earlier today, boobs are passé, it's all about the booty now.
I would have to make an exception for KSusans coconuts though. Very au courant!

Here is the craziest goat testicle story you ever want to read, and all-American.

I'm not sure I can twerk without falling over, but maybe after a few weeks of Zumba.
-
twerking can't do that. I'm more of a cotton eyed joe girl.
-
I've never tried twerking...all the junk in my trunk is not conducive to a good outcome. lol
-
ksusan, you are rockin the coconuts girl! My prosthesis feels about like they're wooden some days, maybe I should try em too. lol
-
Best. Forum. Ever!
-
I vote the twerk as the official dance of March and April. We must all learn to do it by next March and April!
-
Bed head!
-
Hooray for bed head!
Cotton-eyed Joe, ey? I'm more of a pogo girl (the dance, not the cartoon character). I'm willing to try to learn to twerk, but much intimidated by the amazing booty-movements I saw when I was in the Dominican Republic.
-
finally...a good reason to keep that extra junk in the trunk!
-
-
Cotton Eyed Joe....takes me back to 4-H days at the fair..Can you do the jig, Addie??
Yes! I think my problem is i don't have enough junk in my trunk. It don't shake. But I'll do my best!
