Control of cell metabolism in patient response to breast cancer drugs explained
Researchers identify a control mechanism for glutamine uptake in breast cancer cells and its importance for response to select chemotherapies. "Our study indicates that a protein called RNF5 determines breast cancer response to paclitaxel, one of the most common chemotherapy drugs," said one researcher.
