LE and carpal tunnel

My dreaded EMG nerve conduction test is tomorrow!  Finally saw the neurosurgeon today about my messed up neck. I really think that my numbness in both hands comes from messed up neck. But after running me thru an exam, he seems to think it is carpal tunnel in both wrists. He mentioned that the swelling from the LE could be enough to set off C.T. in the left side even though I've never had symptoms in that hand before. He equated it to pregnant women developing C.T. with pregnancy swelling.

Anyone else have both LE and carpal tunnel?  Does your LE make it worse?
