Preplexed

I work as a sales consultant for the world's leading information company. Last year, I sold more than 150% of my quota, even though being diagnosed with stage 2B IDC. I had a double mastectomy (even worked the morning after to close a deal), chemo and began radiation this year. This year is a slow year for all of the sales reps. in my division, everybody is not making their quote. Today, I received a call from my manager, and his manager because of my low numbers stating that they want me to achieve my territory goals this year, that I am a very valued member of their team and they wanted to be sure I have every opportunity for success in my role and that Ifully understand that there are programs of flexibility that my company is able to afford to its employees when needed (this was all said with a tone of phony - because that is how the manager is). So I asked if they were having this conversation with every member of the sales force or just me? They also brought up my breast cancer treatment during this call and the fact that I have two kids with sports injuries (not sure how kids are relevant to this). I now feel as though they were threatening my job because my numbers are low (for the first time in three years) and trying to use my illness as an excuse as to why I am not performing. BTW, that is not the case AT ALL. My industry sector is slow this year, I am doing the best I can to drum up new business and its substantiated by the fact none of the sales reps. on my team are making their numbers. Can my company use my illness against me like this? I feel very down, afraid and concerned right now.
