Advice on when to take off of work

I just got my ticket to chemo.. 1 pos node of 3, and the MO in Houston where I was treated said her recommendation was 12 weeks weekly Taxol and then 4 round 2-3 weeks AC.  I am seeing a MO locally tomorrow and I will see if he agrees but I was just wondering... I have 12 weeks that I can take off from work but I know or have read that the AC is the more powerful one and the one with the worst side effects.  Anyone do Taxol first?  Can I work through it?  I honestly want to just quit and take off for a year but I need the health insurance.
