Breakthrough discovery made in cancer treatment

Supplemental oxygenation could shrink tumors and improve cancer immunotherapy, researchers have discovered. "The anti-tumor effects of supplemental oxygen can be further improved by the natural antagonist of the A2A adenosine receptor, which happens to be the caffeine in your coffee," the lead researcher said. "People drink coffee because caffeine prevents the A2A adenosine receptor in the brain from putting us to sleep."

Interesting. This may also explain why exercise is good for cancer patients.

    Thanks for this!

Does that mean plenty of fresh air (maybe running outdoors) and coffee can help reduce risk of recurrences?

    Thanks for the link.

"Supplemental oxygenation could shrink tumors and improve cancer immunotherapy, researchers have discovered."

as a non-researcher i don't think this idea was hard to come up with after Warburgs discovery of all cancers lack oxygen.
"He won the Nobel Prize in Medicine for proving that a cancer cell cannot exist in an oxidizing, healthy cell. Dr. Waburgh was the director of the Max Planck Institute for Cell Physiology in Germany. In "The Prime Cause and Prevention of Cancer" 1967,

Dr. Warburg proposed that normalizing the metabolism of cancer cells was the key to effective treatment cancer and the means to accomplish this was to increase the oxygen content of the cells. Dr.

Warburg stated that as the first priority of treatment, "-- all growing body cells be saturated with oxygen" and the second priority was to avoid further exposure to toxins. "

Any discovery is great, we need all the help we can get. But I keep feeling we could all be cured if research had happened in another way.

Oxygen cafés, anyone? The best I think is going outdoors in pristine nature where oxygen levels are much higher than indoors. Indoor air also has a lot more toxins than forest air. Bring your own coffee.
