Hair/wig specialists in Austin or Houston, TX?

Hi everyone,

Looking for hair/wig specialists in the Austin area, preferably human hair. That's where I live and I am not finding any human hair wig specialists/shops there. But even if there are some resources closer to MD Anderson in Houston, I'd love to know about them!

I live in Austin, TX and I went to Coco Coquette for my wigs. Im not sure they have human hair wigs but Im sure they ll be happy to help you out. They see cancer patients regularly. Also I first used human hair wigs. Aside from being really expensive (about $600-$800), they were'nt very easy to maintain. Some wig stores have really good fake hair wigs that i found much nicer than the human hair ones, so much so that i stopped using them at all. As an added benefit they are really cheap. ($50-$100). Hope this helps.

hi Vivian. I don't live in Texas, but I did order one of my wigs from www.voguewigs.com. I never had a human hair wig, but heard the same thing Ann said. I have 3 synthetic wigs and OMG they look better than my real hair did.

I got a nice synthetic wig from Parker Wig spa ( I think it's called) off of Anderson Ln, Mo-Pac area. I think they carry natural wigs as well. The lady there helped me try them on, etc. You may be able to get a RX from your MO and insurance might cover all or some of it. My insurance didn't, but worth a try!

Austin area ladies, please check out the "Hill Country Warriors" thread if you like. We have get togethers now and then. "All ages and stages" are welcome! Some from Georgetown, RR, Hutto, SM, Belton area...
