For about 5 months now I have had these 2 lesions on my left breast been referred to a specialist and she is doing a punch biopsy on them both tomorrow, i'm feeling very nervous about the after pain, healing and can you wear bras afterwards? My nipple also inverts sometimes but does not stay that way, have also been getting itchy on my nipple/areola area on and off for the last 5 months. Not sure if the nipple inverting has something to do with having a baby 6 months ago, but I didn't breastfeed. The doctor thought it might be pagets disease but nothing showed on the ultrasound except for skin thickening especially where the skin lesions are, the specialist said it kinda looks like but then stopped although she didn't seem worried about the nipple changes just the skin lesions. any one had anything similar? any information would help cause I am dreading the wait on the results as well thankyou.

I have not had a punch biopsy just the fine needle biopsy. You will likely just need a bandaid and an ice pack. They may advise you not to lift your baby for 2 days ( I was non compliant and lifted my then 18m old and was fine). Bra is definitely a good idea to support the skin, a stretchy one will be better to stick the ice pack in. They should be able to have the biopsy results for you the next evening. I have no info on Pagets, I got lumps when I stopped breastfeeding and the baby had trouble feeding on the breast cancer side because of the inverted nipple. But while I was breastfeeding no one seemed concerned about the inverted nipple on one side only. I hope you biopsy is bening!
