MRI after biopsy...time lapse needed?

Excisional biopsy showed full spectrum of LN, ALH to LCIS, extensively present. I have waited 6 weeks for oncology consult, want to go prepared. I am also tired of long waits. This process started in early November! Wait for core biopsy, Wait for excisional biopsy, wait for oncology. If MRI suggested, is there a a necessary waiting period, for medical reasons, between excisional biopsy and MRI? Biopsy was 6 weeks ago. Furthermore, my other Breast is due for mammo and is feeling neglected.

I am considering travel to larger city if I have to endure another wait. Am I being unreasonable?
