I have the same thing - 2+ years out.

Little lump on my incision line before radiation, they were calling fat necrosis.

The RO said after radiation it would be hard and might not go away. Had it scanned and biopsied. Fat necrosis and a thread that has been encapsulated.

Follow up ultrasound showed it had gotten smaller. My surgeon said after after the first scan & biopsy, the do a follow up scan in 6 months to confirm its not growing & then leave it alone.

Frightening when you "know" what something is & then all of a sudden it changes to let's just look at this and make sure.

    Glad yours turned out okay!

That's great news, glad they sorted it so quickly for you! I had lipofill to my reconstruction on Tuesday and he removed some of my fat necrosis He couldn't do it all as he said it was right on my flap and could affect the stability of it but he did say that I should keep massaging what was left when I have a shower etc as it will help to break it down.
