Port removal healing

it's been 4 months since the port removal and I'm still having annoying pains near the port area. Tingling underneath my left arm. The surgeon did a poor job on the incision. It was not stitched up properly. It's fading some but it looks like an open wound .

Could the tingling be scar tissue? The port was infected as well so I'm not sure if this is the reason of the tingling

Anyone having these issues or can share their experience with healing of their port removal?

After I got my port removed the incision site kept feeling sore, puffy, just not right. After a couple months, I finally went back to my surgeon. I pretty much made him reopen the site (numbed locally) and inside was a dissolvable stich that had NOT dissolved and so it was continually irritating me......it was a couple inches long, as he kept pulling out more & more string, the surgeon was so shocked he muttered, 'What the hell!"......I later found out that it is not uncommon that those stitches don't dissolve as they are supposed to. I don't know if that is what your are experiencing, but it would be worth asking about. Once that was taken care of, the scar evened out and the area just felt normal again......which is how it is suppose to feel.
