wrinklequeen, I am not sure how to put you on my friend list but I'd sure like to! We had discussed what I wanted if things turned bad ever since he found the lump, so we were prepared to tell the surgeon what we wanted. I just don't want to ,mess around with implants or having to fix the healthy breast to match. So, I did plenty of research on the pros and cons and decided I just am not that attached to my breasts....especially since they are trying to kill me. Significantly less attached come monday. Plus I'll save a fortune on sportsbras! I told the surgeon to be as aggressive as possible with the lymph nodes as well. I will miss the girls and my hair....my husband is hanging in there. I told him he should join this site and meet all you lovely ladies! I'm just sad and scared now. I hope you get be results, for all of us! Xoxoxox

littleblueflowers,
I'm so glad to hear from you! You sound like you're really holding it together. Much better than I'm sure I would be doing. You must be super prepared to have a surgeon and oncologist lined up so quickly. This is the kind of stuff that I don't know how it works.
I'm so proud of you, and how you are handling things! Just know that this is a safe place to feel scared and overwhelmed. Sometimes we can't even let all of that out with our husbands, cuz they're trying so hard to be brave for us.
I'll be thinking of you all weekend, starting tonight, and praying extra hard that all goes smoothly on Monday. Be sure to check back in and let us know how you're doing.
I put you on my friend's list on the page where you input favorite sites and stuff about yourself - it's shaded gray. I hope that's ok with you.
I'm going to try to eventually get some sleep - I think my turn with results will come tomorrow.
Stay strong, and remember that plenty of people are pulling for you, my friend, and that it's perfectly normal and expected to be scared and worried - it would be weird if you weren't, at least a little bit!
Love & Hugs,
Wrinklequeen

littlebluefloweers - so sorry you had to get this news. I remember getting mine very well. The first few hours and days were a blur. You husband should join this site too as there's boards/threads for partners and I've seen a number of husbands posting. Take it easy over the next few days. Know that once you have started your treatment, whilst there will be hard days, you will feel better and less shocked. Chemo is very doable - take all you can for side effects. I even went tie a ski holiday in the middle - and I'm quite a couch potatoe usually. Your hair will, soon grow back - I had the real pleasure of having to put mine in a ponytail on Friday for my chest X-ray! best wishes Sarah xo
