TX - when i was diagnosed with ADH and ALH by BS said he wasn't that concerned about the ADH, but because of the ALH I was sent to a genetic counselor. He went over in detail the pros and cons of the hormonal therapy. Has anyone suggested you follow up with a GC? Take care!

no not yet. I'm still in very early stages of diagnosis. Just had core biopsy last week and pending further discussion with MD (going to facility out of town and RN gave me results via phone)

I had BRCA done last year and was negative. I'm curious if it's still beneficial for genetic counseling given a string family history. ??

I would think so. Plus the new genetic panels look at a lot more genes.
I'm trying to get approval for the BROCA and it looks at around 40. The GC can at least put a number on your risk. At 51 and a scary family history plus ALH and ADH my lifetime risk was 50%.
