Tamoxifen !! Before or after radiation !??

Need to make up my mind about this !! My MO wants me to start right away !!

I know there is lots of controversy about taking Tamoxifen during radiation !!

I am going to take it , i just don't know what is the best time !!

Would appreciate your experiences ladies .. hope you are all doing great .

My MO had me start tamoxifen the same time as rads. Most seem to start tamoxifen after rads. I am 3 weeks into both and I am doing well. I have a slight rash from rads, but no side effects from tamoxifen.

My MO won't start me on Tamox until I'm done with rads.

Hi! I completed rads in August. I toik Tamoxifen the whole time and didn't have any side effects. Hope this helps. Good luck

I started tamox practically immediately after the pathology report came in on my tumor. And then I did radiation while still taking tamox. And now I am just taking tamoxifen. I have had no big complaints. In fact, today I can say that I am feeling pretty good. Just a whole lot of relief and very glad and grateful to have this little pill to take that is practically tailored for what ailed me.
