edited February 2015 in Breast Reconstruction

Hello,

I am looking in using the BRAVA AFT system as a means for breast reconstruction as it is my ONLY hope for reconstruction. I've already had a tram flap on my right side (the cancer side) and I've had problems with implants. From everything I've read (so far) it appears to be safe, minimally invasive, and much easier than previous reconstruction surgeries I've have that have failed. I first learned about this procedure from Dr. James Andersen at The City of Hope in Duarte, CA. However, I live in Irvine, CA and was wondering if anyone has any referrals to a PS in Orange County as it's about 1 1/2 hour to 2 hour drive (with traffic which there always) to City of Hope. However, Dr. Andersen if VERY highly regarded and I still may choose to see him for this but would love some other referrals and someone to talk to before I make ANY decisions. I also have severe fibromyalgia (chronic intractable pain, severe fatigue, etc) so I'm trying to find a PS who is just as good but closer for comfort reasons as well. Lastly, if anyone has done the BRAVA AFT system for reconstruction and would be willing to talk to me via the phone to answer questions, advice, offer support, etc. I'd greatly appreciate it. You can email me and we can exchange phone numbers.

Thank you all in advance for any advise, help, and support you can offer.

Blessings to all of you,

Christie
