Radiation treatment with an aortic aneurysm

My mom (82 years young) recently had breast cancer and had a lumpectomy last week. Surgeon did follow up today and said he got the tumor out and suggested she go see a radiologist, just to discuss radiation although he felt she didn't need it. She has an aortic aneurysm that they have said is too risky to try and repair and just to live life, but not over do things......Just curious if radiation is or would be hard on the aorta or cause any damage to it? Or opinions on what you might do in a situation as this....... Thoughts? Thank you.

No one here can tell you what is the best TX plan for your Mom. Only her Drs, collectively can give input into what the best TX plan would probably be - there are never any 'guarantees'.
