Bubble wrap sensation on scar massage

I have reported this on the diep 2015 thread, but wanted to reach a wider audience.

At 5 weeks post flap reconstruction, I saw my Lymphedema PT who encouraged me to massage my tummy scar. I had already done some massage on my flaps.

Last night I was applying glaxalbase to moisturize my belly scar, and I noticed many pea sized little lumps that seemed new. I worked on them with a little bit of pressure, and they started to pop, like bubble wrap! Freaked me out a bit!

I had a few do the same on my flap incisions.

I can't seem to find similar descriptions on here so I'm wondering if anyone out there has had the same thing happen?

Google searches brought up similar descriptions on discussion boards on post hysterectomy and tummy tuck sites, eg http://messageboards.makemeheal.com/breast-reducti...

So I don't think anything too bad is going on, but please share if you have experienced this?

I think it might be dissovable internal stitches ....
