I having numbness and tingling in both hands now,,, mostly the non-LE side, but some in the LE hand also. I am hoping to just do an MRI and avoid the EMG, but I have a feeling that they will push for it.  I asked my LE therapist about it, and her only concern was the risk of infection.  I'm more worried about setting off a flare from the needles.

I've read back on a few posts about EMG's and those who have had it seemed to have done ok. Any special advice?  Get MLD before and after? Mine is mild and I'd like to keep it that way.

    Thanks!

Glennie, I don't have any experience with EMG's only stopping in to say good luck and I think you are wise to do everything possible to avoid a flare...

    Looking forward to good news!

Glennie, yes, be sure your LE is under great control beforehand (don't do it if you're experiencing a flare), and have an appointment with your therapist in place for the next day or so in case you need prompt help. Review the cellulitis signs to look for and act immediately if you experience any of them:

Relax, drink LOTS of water, elevate your arm afterward, and do let us know how it goes!

    Hugs,
