Hi Ladies, I will be meeting with my surgeon this week, as well as another one for a consult for 2 opinions. I'll give you the situation and some questions...I would appreciate any input; it'll help me figure out what exactly to ask.

2013: 1.9 cm tumor, sentinal node negative. Had BMX, TC chemo, tamoxifen. Since then have had implant reconstruction, fat grafting and was done.

2 weeks ago found a lump at original tumor site. BS sent me to PS to see if he thought it was related to reconstruction. PS thought it was scar tissue from where he splits the pec muscle...said it is very common. He took it out and it looked like scar tissue. He sent it for biopsy to appease me. It was cancer. Since it did not look like cancer, there was no attempt to get clear margins and biopsy clip was not placed. Had MRI this week which showed that lymph nodes appear clear.

1. With your recurrence, did you have a sentinal node biopsy again?

2. Anyone know if they can even do a SNB if the tumor is gone?

3. Did they remove the old implant (in case of tumor cells) and put in a new one?

4. Since there is no marker, I am wondering how on earth they are going to get clear margins. Do they test these there like the nodes?

What else am I missing? I know there is more I should be asking.
