Getting your night sleeve dry

Found this helpful info in the most recent Solaris newsletter. Hope they don't mind me "lifting" it (we are actually neighbors in terms of geography, just one county apart). These are common sense tips but chemobrain sometimes means I need a reminder! Also, I think my dryer runs longer during these periods of arctic chill: perhaps the cold air from outside pushes into the duct which dilutes the warmth. I vaccuum out the lint regularly so I know it's not blocked - that happened to a friend whose actually caught fire. A good reason not to go to bed/leave the house with that appliance operating...

Do you put your TributeNight™ through two or more dryer cycles to get it dry? If so, here are some helpful tips that may help decrease your drying time:

  • After washing, put your garment between two dry towels and press out the excess water before putting it into the dryer.
  • Whenever possible, dry your garment with other clothes; this helps your garment tumble properly.
  • If you do not have enough clothes to dry with your TributeNight™, place 2-3 tennis balls in the dryer with your garment; this will help "knock the water out" of your garment.
  • Put your garment through an extra spin cycle in the washer to help wring out more water.

I just throw mine in with same load of clothes it was washed in - always dried when they were dry.

I always throw a dry towel into the dryer with wet cloths. They dry waaaaay faster! Try with the night sleeve. A bachelor taught me that. Should of married him. He had great ideas.

I generally wash and dry my Tribute by itself after one time when I washed it with other clothes, ended up with annoying little fuzz balls all over the inside of the garment. Couple things that work for me is to run the Tribute through the washer spin cycle 2 or 3 times, flipping position in the washer each time. Also, the inside wrist/forearm area is what takes the longest time to dry and I often remove the Tribute mid-cycle, use my hair dryer to blow warm air down the inside, then back to the dryer to finish.
