While not technically research, I heard the author of this article interviewed on Doctor Radio today, and wanted to share what I thought was extremely interesting information. Obviously when we are already dealing with a cancer dx, we're somewhat between a rock and a hard place re. needing some scans. But since I've moved to Stage IV, I have been really concerned about how frequently we as a group get scanned. What was also interesting is that even the NYU doc interviewing her agreed with her observations, including that sometimes the recommendation for a CT may be financially motivated.
