Edema in breast

I was diagnosed in June with IDC and had stage 1 HER2 positive breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy in July and finished radiation in September. In the last few days I have noticed that my breast has become swollen and a little pink. There's no real pain, just the normal discomfort and then I have one section that is pitted and feels like a ball is in there. Oncologist said edema on Friday but is sending me to the radiation oncologist for back up. Anyone have this??? I am terrified!

You have been thru so much of course you are scared. As you remember from diagnosis, the waiting is so hard. I am hoping the problems you are having are answered with good news, and please try to relax, and get your mind on something else for awhile if possible. I have not had what you are experiencing as my treatment was different and I did not have a lumpectomy. I am hoping others will chime in soon who did have the treatments you did. Dont worry till you have more info, and not even then. just fight it. hugs to you.

I developed edema, redness, but I had pain. Just happened. Blood clots in my case. All I can say is be persistent, doctors can be a little lax in my experiences.
