PET scan clear but tumor markers are elevated

Yesterday my doctor informed me that the PET scan was clear of disease.  It is even better than the previoius scan.  But there is still concern because of elevated tumor markers (CA27-29) which caused the need for the PET scan.  Everyone tells me that it is a good thing.  But I can't help but think about the elevated tumor markers.  Does anyone else have this problem.

Hi, I am in a similar situation. My 27.29 has been edging up over the last year and is currently 53. During and after tx it was in the low 20's. I am now faced with a choice of pursuing further investigation. Not sure I want to do that. If I may ask, what were your scores? I read somewhere that markers did not indicate cancer if less than 100. Not too sure about that. My MO said she watches for up trending scores, which mine are doing. Also PET scans are unreliable for anything less than 1 cm. What is your plan? My thoughts are with you.
