I am just diagnosed. IDC. 64 years old. I don't even know what to ask....I am just afraid, and it's immobilizing me. Breast MRI tomorrow followed by surgical appt.

We're sorry you have to be here, but really glad you found us. We know fear is a natural emotion to experience at time of diagnosis, but knowledge is power and will help you manage your fears! Along with the support from your fellow members here, we'll all help you through this.

Sandy - it is natural to be afraid, but let your fear be your motivation!  Once you get through all of your tests and know more of what you are dealing with, you will be able to talk with your surgeon and find the best course of action.  You'll map out your treatment plan with your breast surgeon and medical oncologist and then you will really feel a bit better.  Then, you will have a plan and feel a bit more in control.
