Surgery cancelled due to Blizzard

How unlucky can I get? I was all geared up for lumpectomy tomorrow and Mass. Puts on state of emergency! Now I have to wait till 2/17 - is this bad? Could the tumor grow? I really wanted to get this over with now it's a whole new waiting game. Feeling yucky

    So sorry! Just remember that the tumor has been in your body for a while. I asked my surgeon how 'old' my tumor was...<2cm and she said approx 1-2 yrs. It will be okay ... hang in there.

    Lucy,

    Medically you will be fine. Emotionally it is going to be difficult to wait. I was actually part of a study that discovered that my tumor had been growing for 11 years. A few week delay should not affect your overall outcome. Now, we have to figure out where to put all the snow.
