I tripped over a dog gate three weeks post exchange, fell mainly on my face and right implant. I had some major bruising that didn't really appear until about 4 days after. Fall was on Sunday saw my PS on Friday. She said the implants are pretty strong, the main concern was about bleeding in the pocket and encapsulation. She put me on an old drug Papaverine which enhances blood flow (my pharmacist said it used to be used for erectile dysfunction). I was on it for six months. The main problem is that no one sells it anymore and it has to be compounded. I'm am two and a half years out of exchange, both implants are intact as verified by MRI. Righty is a tiny bit firmer to me, that was the side I fell on, but not that much. But that side did have more work done at the exchange.

Overall it was not the calamity I thought it was.

Sorry to hear about your fall. If it's not one thing it's another, huh? Take care.

thanks for the reply! things seem to have calmed down - i wore my sleeve for a couple of nights to calm my arm down (lymph removal) actually the breast seems to hurt less! lol i think i knocked it over into a more comfortable spot! I will have my PS check it out but glad to hear that hopefully it is still intact.

just was so ironic - don't think i've every fallen on my boob before!

Hi notbuyit, I hope you are feeling better today. Of all places to smack. I had a similar experience to my TE. I was moving furniture and the dresser got shoved right into my chest. My PS informed me that unless I see a ridge popping out and/or have incredible swelling I wasn't too worry about it. They had me put ice on the area (frozen veggie) and put my compression bra on. Are you bleeding from your nipple or do you have a laceration to cause some bleeding? Are you badly bruised?

KayB- I feel so much better reading your post. I am getting ready for exchange and I have 2 active dogs and some cats. I know I am going to trip over one of them. ugh!
