Recommendations for surgeon and oncologist in SF Bay Area?
Can anyone recommend a good plastic surgeon and/or medical oncologist in the Bay Area (California)? I recently had surgery to have my tissue expander exchanged for an implant but am not very happy with the results so I'd like to get a second opinion. I'm also not very confident and comfortable with my current MO so I'm thinking of switching. I had a mastectomy (left side) followed by radiation a few months later. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations!

Dr, Shruti Sheth at Stanford is an excellent MO. For plastic surgery I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen and Stanford.

In San Francisco/Oakland, plastic surgeon David Chang is good. I used him.

Hi - I am under care of oncologist , Dr.Wei Wang at CPMC and for my DIEP reconstruction I had it done with Dr.Gabriel Kind and very satisfied with the results.

I agree with WinningSoFar. Dr. David S. Chang is awesome. I am very happy with my results.

Dr. Ho Santa Clara Kaiser. He did my sGAP flap. Awesome job!

Dr Kral in Menlo Park is a wonderful, caring oncologist. I did not have reconstruction, but I highly recommend my breast surgeon, Dr Dunn in Palo Alto. She performs surgery at Stanford and works with a number of excellent plastic surgeons.

I agree that Dr. Chang is fabulous. He is in practice with Dr. Kind, and I have had experience with both. I had a UMX with DIEP two years ago, and had a wonderful outcome, with Dr. Chang taking the lead. I will be scheduling my tattoo with him in a month or so.

I adore Dr. Wei Wang at CPMC (San Francisco). I can't say enough about him and his staff is great. I loved the nurses in the infustion room.

Don't mess around - head to UCSF Medical Center (Mt. Zion Breast Care Center). My plastic surgeon, Dr. Robert Foster, has been great and is up on all the latest techniques. My oncologist, Hope Rugo, is an absolute rock star. You might have a hard time getting in to see her, but she is fabulous. I have also heard great things about most of the other oncologists at UCSF. Once you are post-5 years like me, you will still be part of their Survivorship Program, which means you will still be "followed" (gives me great peace of mind).
Good luck!

It's good to see so many accolades for Dr. Wang--I am going to be seeing him in a few weeks. I have pretty much wrapped up here in Mexico.
I would also like to see an integrative oncologist in the bay area. Does anyone have a recommendation?
