Hello,

My annual mammogram / ultrasound is on Thursday. So, for the past at least fortnight, I can't stop eating. Last night, can't sleep. Pigged out all day today when I had decided to have a 'fast' day.

So, I'm assuming I'm not the only one - can anyone else share with me how they feel if they experience this how I do?

    Hi Redruby,

Waiting for tests can be really difficult and trying to take your mind off it can sometimes be counter-productive.

Taking some gentle exercise, meditation or talking to a friend/relative/neighbour can help.

Our best advice would be to do your best to take good care of yourself and be kind to yourself!

Let us know how things go for you on Thursday,

    Hugs, from the mods

i hope your mammo and ultrasound were uneventful. I think it is all a game to keep the anxiety & fear at bay. Whatever it takes. I am trying yoga, Pilates, support group & meds. So far it might be helping? I wish it helped more. Sometimes I think it is hard to know if things help or not because would it be worse if I didn't try it? Maybe. Maybe not.
