Nine more radiation treatments to go and then I believe I should detox. I'm thinking about using chlorella for this. Any thoughts or experiences to share about detoxing specifically after radiation treatment and/or chlorella or other ways to safely detox? I already eat a clean Paleo diet and not so much interested in a reg detox, but in detoxing with radiation treatment in mind-to rid my body from its effects.

I think that the medical expectation is that the radiation will continue to have an effect on the body for some time after treatments end.

You should check with your RO when you can start detoxing. It might be best to wait 2 weeks or more. I don't know.

Pity to go through rads and then undermine them by doing something healthy.

I may have to have a CT next week and am planning on eating as much Chlorella as I can afford afterwards.

Will also drink some veggies from the blender.

LOL. My RO will tell me go ahead, knock myself out, stuff like detoxing is all "quackery." This is also what he said of the lymphodema prevention classes I went to! He came highly recommended, has tons of experience, knows a lot about using radiation therapy and I trust him to aim the beam the right way, but he is so NOT a source of info about diet, exercise or detoxing, LOL.

Anyway, I'm less worried about RADs not working (small tumor, huge margins) than I am about them causing other damage. I wasn't real keen on having RADs to begin with and still have mixed feelings about the whole radiation thing.
