Have you ever read your doctor's notes?

I recently obtained copies of all my oncologist, radiologist and breast surgeon notes because I have moved to a new city. I was really surprised (and pi$$ed off) when I read my oncologist's notes where at each visit, she characterized me as over-anxious about my treatment and prognosis. I guess patients who ask questions about their treatment and prognosis are just nut jobs! Or my stage 1 breast cancer wasn't cool enough for her. Interestingly, she never offered me any mood altering drugs. So glad I have moved.

Has anyone else had the privilege of seeing their medical notes?

Yep I was mortified.  When I complained it confirmed what they wrote.  The more I explained the more neurotic I sounded.

On a side note I can now sort of understand with this dynamic how someone could actually go from sane to crazy in a mental institution.
