Lump on chest

Options

Just when I was starting to feel better! I have just found a lump on my mastectomy side on the upper sternum area just left of centre. Feels like a node or new mass and is tender. I am on holiday right now and of course freaking out. I just finished chemo almost exactly one year ago.

Thankfully I will be seeing my onc in about a week. I would love to hear if anyone else has had something like this...and it was ok...or no. I'll take the good and the bad...best be prepared.

Thx

Awnie,  I have a lump just under the skin on my mastectomy side.  It isn't tender though.  It had been growing.  We had it checked out for peace of mind and it turned out to be nothing.

What I decided was that it was a small piece of leftover fat from the breast.  I've gained some weight since the mastectomy, and figured it gained more fat cells as I did.

I hope yours turns out to be nothing as well.

Awnie, I found a lump, in about the same place, about 18 months after my Umx. It was tender and movable. I was really nervous and worked up about it. I went for an U/S and they decided to do a stereotactic biopsy, as soon as the gun hit the lump it just exploded. It was just a cyst, I've never been more relieved!

I wish the same for you!
