painful lumps in lumpectomy breast
Hi ladies feeling anxious again(lol) I have posted before about my ongoing issues with my lumpectomy breast(seromas/pain/etc. Numerous antibiotics. I had us in Oct. Everything fine.My surgeon says it radiation/the radiation nurse tells me its scar tissue from surgery. I see the ro this week I don't want to be a pain but I don't feel right. My BC breast has so many lumps. I now wish I had a mastectomy. on top of that I have another spot on my right non BC breast that has a small pea sized lump. This was checked out a couple of months ago but it has gotten bigger. I trust my doctors but I want to be checked again. Am I being a pest? I have also developed severe acid reflux so bad coming out of nose (yuk) Short of breath. When I was initially diagnosed nodule on lung and thyroid but doctors were not concerned.

Ladies just wanted to give a update. My ro thinks the pain and all the discomfort is post radiation changes. He was very kind and answered my questions. I see my no next month. Just so difficult not to worry about everything.

My pain in my lumpectomy breast is pretty bad when pressed on but not if just sitting or living my life. My MO wants my BS to feel it and decide if I should have an ultrasound. We shall see after my Feb. appt. Usually it is radiation damage to the breast that causes this so as long as docs are in agreement, you should be fine! Best to you!

I had LX June 2013 and also experience quite a bit of pain in breast, but like april485 only when pressed. I have mentioned this to MO and RO and neither seemed concerned-nor did I get an explanation. When I saw my RO for annual checkup I also had an apt. with Lymphedema nurse. I told her about the pain and she examined me and said that I had Lymphedema in my breast and back! I'm now wearing a compression bra and use a 'swell spot' in a camisole at night. Not sure it feels any better and definitely still hurts when pressed. I also feel a hard area and am thinking this must be scar/radiation damage. So now I'm wondering if the hard area I feel is scar- if there is anything nasty behind the scar, would it show on a mammogram? I see my mo in April and will get her to address this and maybe request an ultrasound.
