    Hi all

I've read some studies about the potential benefits of hormone therapy for people at high risk of, but not diagnosed with BC.

Just wondering if any of you are in this situation and having the therapy, or know of case/s where it is happening?

My reason for asking is that I worry about my sister being at high risk. I discussed this with my onc, but he did not appear to be convinced that the benefits of prevention would outweigh the risks of side effects from the medication.

I am interested in your thoughts and comments.

My doctor placed me on Tamoxifen prior to being diagnosed. He told me that if my biopsy came back negative, Tamoxifen will help me because of my family history.

To give you a little background. My cousin has the BRCA2 mutation. My aunt was diagnosed when she was 40. My grandmother died from BC when she was 42. Three of my grandmother's sisters were diagnosed anywhere from 33-40. My great grandmother has BC and ovarian cancer. My genetic testing came back negative but I was just diagnosed at 41.
