Bottom of feet are very sore and I have blisters.

So I am 11 days since my 2nd chemo treatment and yesterday I woke up with the bottom of my feet being very sore. I had to go out and run some errands. Well, now I have several blisters on the bottom of both feet. Anyone else have this happen?

Its a side effect of some chemos. It will go away. I am sorry : (

I'm only on day 3 of my first chemo, so I can't really help. But I do remember having a problem with blisters even from very comfortable shoes when I was first diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I'm not sure what the mechanics might be, but chemo seems to do some of the same things to the body, like neuropathy. With Diabetes, it's the high glucose that causes these conditions. Not sure what it is in chemo that does it. But I wouldn't be surprised if the blisters is a part of chemo side effects. (In fact, searching "blisters on feet" and "chemo" brings up several instances.)

I guess you should report this to your MO, right? Maybe or maybe not they'll have something to do to help with that...?

Blisters! Yikes, what next. I haven't heard of it as a side effect but it's certainly possible. I hope there's something you can do or that they go away on their own.

It actually sounds more like Hand & Foot - a very common chemo side effect.  Here is some info:

Are you on Taxotere? Could be an allergic reaction. Doc will want to see you

I went in and saw my doctor and it was hand/foot syndrome. He put me on a steroid and lidocaine type spray. It's much better. Yes, I'm on taxotere and its from that.
