my ALND side is not the same obviously. Am wondering if my good arm will get screwed up (not as strong, limited ROM, feeling wierd, etc) because of mastectomy to be done. I just want the arm to stay the same. Is that possible? Or do people usually have problems

I can't give you a comparison, but both of my mastectomies were prophylactic only with no node removal and I recovered tohave full and complete range of motion and such in both arms. No loss of strength in arms or any weird feelings (I do sometimes get those peculiar jumps in my pectorals with certain movements (like jar opening! but those are in chest and are a minor thing for me). I can do all the arm related exercises and activities I did before without issue, including weight training, lifting, kayaking, hauling heavy stuff around and so on.

Dancing - my prophylactic arm hurts more than my snb arm does, but I'm sure they both will be fine in a bit, my BMx was 12/2 and it included a skin reduction on both sides. When I do the finger wall crawling exercises, my BC arm can go higher with less pain.

i had my surgery last month and I did some exercise at home and I'm able to move my arms last a 80%, but I still feel the pulling, but not pain at all.

my prophy side has never been the same. That shoulder and arm hurt almost all the time. I stretch and do strengthening exercise almost daily and it still hurts.
