Should I worry that I am at a higher risk of breast cancer in the future if my biopsy showed extensive scleorsing adenosis, mucinous spherulosis, intraductal hyperplasia, papillomatosis and columnar cell hyperplasia. Numerous microcalcifications seen throughout the specimen. Also If I am what can I do to limit my risk factors. Thank you

    Hi bachambault,

We're sure others will be by shortly to comment on your question, but we wanted to point you to our main Breastcancer.org site's Lower Your Risk section, which explains levels of risk, risk factors for breast cancer, and what you can do to lower your risk.

    We hope this helps!

fortunately, those are all benign conditions, so you are not at high risk. Just keep up with your yearly screenings, do monthly BSE, and try to live as healthy a lifestyle as possible (no smoking, limit alcohol, try to eat healthy and exercise).
