Moms mastectomy booked

Hi all,

I posted for the first time when my mom had been diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and found that I couldn't cope with the emotions I was feeling.

I'm happy to report that her chemo has now finished and her mastectomy has been booked for the end of January. They'll be taking the lump from her breast and a few of her lymph nodes from under her arm.

As much as I started coping with the chemo I now find myself going down the spiral again and worrying about how the operation will go. I'm snappy and irritable at work and blow up at the slightest thing. I'm really struggling with getting a hold on my emotions. I really want to cry or laugh or try to enjoy Chrsitmas but I don't know if I'm strong enough to stop if I start.

I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has felt this way?
