My bone doctor advised that I have a Reclast infusion for osteoporosis which I did this past Friday. I'm in horrific pain and nothing helps! I had a frozen shoulder after my mastectomy and now the good shoulder is locked up! Tylenol does nothing to help and I am crying ! Don't do this drug!

I just told my MO I wouldn't take it... my insurance wouldn't cover Prolia and only the Reclast, they don't tell you about the SEs

I'm sorry you're dealing with such difficult bone issues.

I understand your concern about Zometa. I, too, have persistent reflux. I've had 2 Zometa infusions and neither one caused any increase in reflux at all. I did have some chills (that feeling of coming down with the 'flu) for about 1/2 day after my 1st infusion and no side effects at all after the 2nd.

Could you talk with your MD about trying one infusion and see how it goes? Perhaps you could discuss your concern about reflux in relation to Zometa, too. It's my understanding that the infusion does not cause the same issues that taking the pills does but you would want to explore that with your MD, of course.
